Sahring meeting between health service providers and receivers

On 30 March 2014, a daylong sharing meeting was arranged between health service providers and receivers at IDP-Kendua and Luthfor Rahamn, Training and Monitoring Officer was the moderator of the sharing meeting. The objectives of sharing meeting were 1) To inform the receivers about government and non-government health service providers and 2) To make the effective relationship between the people of working area and health service providers with a view to ensuring health services. Muhammed Kamal Hossain, Upazila family planning officer was the chief guest. The total participants of the meeting were 31, out of which male was 4 and the female were 27 (Family Welfare Assistant-FWA: 8, Family Welfare Visitor-FWV: 3, Representatives of health group: 12, family planning officer: 1 and SUS staff: 7). After inauguration and introduction, the activities of SUS at Kendua area were discussed and the plan of working at 12 villages in 2014 was shared among the participants. The chief guest discussed the duties and responsibilities of FWA and FWV. The representatives of SUS health groups have been informed about the government health services. The chief guest also told that we can not provide our service properly because of lack of manpower. So, it will be easier to work together and the beneficiaries will get maximum services. He discussed family planning issue and he told that the FWA and FWV will attend the meeting organized by health groups. All the participants participated in the open discussion and shared their opinions. In the end, the chief guest thanked all the participants especially SUS representatives for their effective initiatives and hoped to attend the health group meeting in future.
