Legal Counseling Meeting

During January-March 2014, 19 meeting was arranged at union level on legal counseling with a view to provide legal advice, support, and awareness to the oppressed poor men and women of different villages. The lawyers of lawyers’ panel and lawyers of legal aid panel attended the meetings. They discussed family law, prevention law of children and women oppression, land disputes, the law of early marriage, bad effect of early marriage, government legal aid fund and village court etc. 204 oppressed people received advice. The advice items were: No maintenance cost by the husband, torture for dowry, divorce, land disputes, illegal relationship etc. The participants are taking necessary steps by receiving advice. In this way, they are getting judgment properly.
