Basic Training to the Adolescent Group Leader

During 11-13 February 2014, 16 adolescent leaders from 8 groups received 3 days long basic training at Mymensingh office. Monwarul Islam Selim, project coordinator, IDP-Mymensingh inaugurated the training course. Afruza Akter Kona, APC discussed the objective of the training as well as activities/programs of SUS. Monwarul Islam Selim, project coordinator, Afruza Akter Kona, APC, Tamanna Kadar, PS and respective Community Organizers Nilima Mitra, Fahmida Yasmin, Tahera Akter of IDP-Mymensingh Rima ran the training sessions. The following issues such as duties and responsibilities of group leaders, adolescent period, HIV and AIDS, nutrition, law and rights, leadership, early marriage, recreation, family relationship, choosing of friends, graphics drawing etc. were discussed elaborately. The adolescent girls have gotten an idea about graphics and they have known to identify their problems. They have taken decisions to utilize their acquired knowledge for running their centers.
