Convention of Public Policy Forum

On 22 March 2014, Convention of Public Policy Forum was held at Public Hall, Netrakona. The chief guest Chhobi Biswas, Member of Parliament (MP), Netrakona-2 constituency inaugurated the program by hoisting the national flag. The special guests were Nurunnabi Talukder, additional secretary and director general of NGO Affairs Bureau, D. Abul Kalam Azad, Deputy Commissioner, Netrakona, Jakir Hossain, Police Super, Netrakona, Dr. Bijon Kanti Sarker, Deputy Civil Surgeon, Netrakona, Malobika Bhoumik, District Education Officer, Netrakona, Shila Tasnim Haq, director, Asia Foundation and Begum Rokeya, executive director, Sabalamby Unnayan Samity, Netrakona. Rehana Siddiqui, convenor, District Public Policy Forum (DPPF) presided over the convention.

At the beginning, Udichi Shilpigusthi, Netrakona presented a country song. Muzammel Haq Bachchhu, convenor and Mustafizur Rahman Khan, member secretary, convention preparatory committee deliberated their welcome speech by discussing about their taken initiatives regarding health and education situation of Netrakona district. Besides, Shyemolendu Paul, convenor, journalist forum and members of public policy forum also deliberated thieir speech regarding the issue. The chief and special guests deliberated their speech by raising different important issues and welcomed the initiatives by the DPPF and gave assurance for extending their hands of cooperation. Through the convention, 25 members excutive committee was formed for next 2 years by selecting Rehana Siddiqui as president and Muzammel Haq as general secretary. Achinta Majumder Tutu was the moderator of the program.
